Commemoration of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his commitment to peace

April 4, 2024

You are invited to a reading of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence”

On April 4, 1967 at Riverside Church in New York City, MLK gave what many people feel was his most important and prophetic speech. Exactly one year later, he was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee. We will commemorate these events on the 57th anniversary of the speech.

Presented by readers from:

  • NAACP Santa Fe;
  • Veterans For Peace, Santa Fe Chapter;
  • The Santa Fe Interfaith Leadership Alliance;
  • Youth United for Climate Crisis Action (YUCCA)

Hosted by the Justice Council of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Santa Fe.
